"Hit or Miss" storms today; more widespread strong storms on Friday
Paul Dorian
A cool push of air now over the Great Lakes will approach the area by tomorrow and this will enhance our chances for showers and thunderstorms. While today’s storms will be of the scattered variety, there is the likelihood that tomorrow will feature more widespread showers and thunderstorms and some of that rain will be heavy at times. The frontal system associated with the cool air push should continue to move off the coast this weekend which will allow for a reduction in our overall humidity levels and the chances for rain. Today- partly sunny, hot and humid with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms, low-to-mid 90’s
Tonight- warm, muggy with more scattered showers and thunderstorms, low 70’s
Fri- mostly cloudy, very humid, not as hot with more widespread showers and thunderstorms, some of which will be heavy at times, mid 80’s
Sat- partly sunny, very warm, near 90
Sun- mainly sunny, hot, low 90’s
Mon- mainly sunny, hot and humid, low-to-mid 90’s
Tues- partly sunny, hot and humid, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, low-to-mid 90’s
