Discussion

July closed out on a warm note and ended up well above normal temperature-wise (+4.6 degrees) with slightly drier-than-normal conditions although there has been a decent amount of rainfall in recent days. Today will feature hot and humid conditions and a weak frontal system will spark some scattered late afternoon and evening shower and thunderstorm activity and some of these storms can get quite strong. This front clears through by tomorrow and then the next front will threaten us with showers and thunderstorms late Tuesday night and on Wednesday. Finally, another front could bring a return of showers and thunderstorms during the beginning of the weekend.
