Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly sunny, lowering humidity, highs near 85

Mostly clear, comfortable, lows near 60

Mostly sunny, pleasant, low 80’s

Mostly sunny, warmer, mid 80’s

Partly sunny, very warm, more humid, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, near 90

Partly sunny, warm, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, upper 80’s

Increasing clouds, warm, the threat exists for showers and thunderstorms by nightfall depending on the track of Irene, mid 80’s

High pressure has moved into the region following yesterday’s strong cold frontal passage. This high will control our weather right into mid-week an then the focus shifts to the southeast US coast. Last week we discussed the potential threat for a tropical system to affect the southeast US late this week for the first time this hurricane season and now all eyes are focused on Hurricane Irene which will head towards the east coast of Florida by around Friday, and then it could very well take a track right along the east coast. If this track does occur, heavy rain will could fall here later Saturday or Sunday.
