3:25 PM | Weather pattern continues to look unsettled and soggy for the next several days
Paul Dorian
The overall upcoming weather pattern continues to look very soggy for the Mid-Atlantic and the unsettled weather will continue right into the middle of next week. Scattered showers and thunderstorms have formed today to our southwest and are moving in our general direction. Occasional showers and thunderstorms will develop here tonight and that threat will continue for the next several days with rain-free time mixed in as well. Two or three inches of rain are possible around here by the early part of the weekend and the threat for more rain will continue for several days beyond that as a strong upper air low will only slowly drift eastward from the Ohio Valley. We'll have to watch for the possibility of renewed flooding problems over the next several days as a result of the potential heavy rain and still saturated grounds.
