Discussion

Clouds will thicken up this morning as high pressure gives way to an approaching low pressure low pressure system that has formed along a frontal zone which separates much cooler air to the north and milder air to its south. The low will spread showers here late today and early tonight and then some steadier rain late tonight and tomorrow and at the same time colder air will be dropping southward into the Mid-Atlantic riding in on northerly winds. This low then clears out of here by Friday, but we’ll then have to watch for the possibility of a coastal storm that could possibly affect the region on Saturday with a cold rain and, in some cases, wet snow for the first time this season.
