7:15 AM | Storm clears out and nice weather returns for the Thursday holiday and it will last through the weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly cloudy, another shower or two, but much rain-free time, milder, becoming windy, low 60’s this morning, but then dropping temperatures this afternoon

Windy with mostly cloudy skies early then clearing late, turning colder, lows near 35

Mainly sunny, a bit breezy, cooler, mid 50’s

Mainly sunny, milder, low 60's

Mainly sunny, mild, low-to-mid 60’s

Becoming mostly cloudy, showers possible late in the day or at night, still mild, highs in the low 60’s

Mostly cloudy, showers likely, mild, near 60

A cold front will swing through the Mid-Atlantic region this morning reaching the east coast by afternoon. The frontal passage can cause another shower or two during the day, but much of the time will be rain-free. Temperatures rose overnight, but should drop this afternoon behind the front as the winds pick-up from the morning highs within a few degrees of 60. Sunshine returns on Thursday and the dry weather will continue right through much of the weekend and temperatures will generally be quite pleasant for this time of year. Another system could affect us with some rain activity early next week and it could become a major rain event.
