7:15 AM | December begins dry and cool

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly sunny, breezy, cool, near 50

Mostly clear, cold, upper 30’s

Mostly sunny, cool, low 50’s

Mostly sunny, slightly cooler, upper 40’s

Mostly sunny, cool, low 50’s

Increasing clouds, showers possible at night, slightly milder, mid-to-upper 50’s

Cloudy, rain likely, near 50, but temperatures could drop during the afternoon

High pressure will control our weather for the next two days and then a weak cold front will pass through on the dry side during Friday night. Slightly colder air will move in on Saturday, but the dry pattern will continue. Another cold front will approach from the west around next Tuesday and this front will be quite strong and will significantly increase the chances for rain during the Monday night/Tuesday time frame. Colder air will follow that frontal passage by the middle of next week and the chance does exist for a changeover to snow during that next significant weather event coming our way. Elsewhere, some "Santa Ana" wind reports have been incredible in California in the past 12 hours or so with unofficial reports from Mammoth at 150 mph and 167 mph at Henniger Flats.
