7:15 AM | Dry weekend, but more rain likely by Tuesday and then turning colder again; November recap

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly sunny, cool, near 55

Mostly clear, cold, near 30

Mostly sunny, slightly cooler, near 50

Partly sunny, milder, mid-to-upper 50’s

Increasing clouds, showers possible at night, mild, upper 50’s

Cloudy, rain likely, still mild, mid-to-upper 50’s

Mostly cloudy, turning colder late, rain still possible, near 50 in the morning

A weak cold front will pass through the region tonight and it will usher in a reinforcing chilly air mass to start the weekend. Temperatures on Saturday will be hard-pressed to get out of the 40’s (normal high is now 52 degrees). The next frontal system to approach the Mid-Atlantic will be more significant as it could have a couple of low pressure systems riding along it and this will enhance our rainfall chances significantly by Tuesday. Colder air will follow that frontal passage by the middle of next week and temperatures could hold in the 40’s next Wednesday. As far as November is concerned, the month turned out to be above normal temperature-wise at +2.8 degrees and also drier than normal by 1.23 inches with only 1.94 inches recorded for the month at Reagan National Airport.
