Discussion

The storm that hit us hard yesterday and last night with lots of rain has raced to the northeast and is now near the coast of Maine. More than two inches of rain fell across a wide zone from DC to New York City and in some spots it actually surpassed three inches. In fact, 3.10 inches was recorded at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. and that was the most ever there from a single storm during the winter months of December through February. The next several days look to be dry and chilly with slightly below normal temperatures likely this weekend. High pressure will gradually build into the East from the middle of the country by the weekend and it will control the weather through the early part of next week.
