7:15 AM | Warm pattern continues today and tomorrow, but it turns cooler this weekend; NASA reschedules rocket launches for late tonight

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Early morning clouds and fog then becoming partly sunny, warm, highs in the mid-to-upper 70's

Partly cloudy, mild, fog possible late, mid-to-upper 50’s

Becoming mainly sunny, warm, near 80

Friday Night

Increasing clouds, mild, shower or thunderstorm possible late, mid-to-upper 50’s

Mainly cloudy, somewhat cooler, showers likely and there can be a thunderstorm mixed in, highs near 70

Continued mainly cloudy, even cooler, showers still possible, low 60’s

More clouds than sun, milder, mid-to-upper 60’s

Mostly sunny, mild, mid-to-upper 60’s

Early morning clouds and fog will give way to partial sunshine and temperatures will once again soar through the 70’s. With a little luck, temperatures could reach the 80 degree on Friday, but then there will be some noticeable changes over the weekend. Showers will break out by Saturday, and a thunderstorm can be mixed in as well, and temperatures will trend downward with highs on Saturday closer to 70 as compared with the 80 degree mark that may close out the week on Friday. Even cooler weather is probable on Sunday and more showers are likely to close out the weekend before it dries out again early next week. One final note - NASA postponed last night's scheduled rocket launches at Wallops Island, VA until late tonight due to low clouds and fog along the coast.
