Weather forecasting and analysis, space and historic events, climate information

7:15 AM | A return to 70 degrees today after a brief cold spell, but PM showers are likely and perhaps a strong thunderstorm

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Partly sunny, breezy and milder, PM showers are likely and a strong thunderstorm can be mixed in as well, low 70’s

Mostly cloudy, breezy, mild, still the chance for a shower or thunderstorm, low 50’s

Partly sunny, windy and cooler, near 60

Thursday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, mid-to-upper 30's

Partly sunny, breezy, low 60’s; possible showers at night

Mostly cloudy, mild, maybe a shower or two, low-to-mid 60’s

Mostly sunny, warm, upper 60’s

Mostly sunny, warm, near 70

High pressure will slip off the east coast today and from this position our low-level winds will shift to a southwesterly direction and temperatures should respond by climbing into the 70’s. A cold front will approach from the northwest later today and this will increase our chances for afternoon and evening showers along with the threat of a strong thunderstorm. It’ll turn cooler behind the front on Thursday with gusty winds, and the dry, cooler weather will then continue for much of Friday as well to close out the work week.
