7:00 AM | It took some strong thunderstorms to get rid of our heat and humidity; comfortable tomorrow and Friday

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Clouds this morning and maybe a lingering shower well east of the District then becoming partly sunny later this afternoon with lowering humidity, not quite as warm as yesterday, mid 80’s

Partly cloudy, cooler than recent nights, upper 50’s

Mostly sunny, pleasant, upper 70’s

Thursday Night

Mostly clear, cool, mid 50’s

Becoming mostly cloudy, pleasant, showers possible late in the day and at night, upper 70’s

Mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms possible, mid 70’s

Mostly sunny, pleasant, upper 70’s

Partly sunny, warm, maybe a shower or thunderstorm late, low 80’s

The strong cold front that helped to set off strong thunderstorms overnight is now moving slowly towards the east coast and the weather will improve later this afternoon with increasing sunshine and lowering humidity. The next couple of days will be quite comfortable with pleasant temperatures and humidity levels, but then another low pressure system will head from the Ohio Valley towards New England this weekend. That system will cause more shower activity around here from later Friday into Saturday and then another pleasant air mass will follow to close out the weekend.
