Friday Night

Partly cloudy, warm, near 75

Mostly sunny, hot and humid, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, upper 80's

Partly sunny, very warm and humid, showers and thunderstorms likely, upper 80’s

Mostly cloudy, not quite as warm, still the chance for showers and thunderstorms, mid-to-upper 80’s

Mostly sunny, warm, mid-to-upper 80’s

Weak high pressure builds into the region today and this will reduce our chances for rain considerably, but a shower or thunderstorm cannot be completely ruled out. With the additional sunshine today compared to yesterday, there will be an increase in high temperatures to near 90 degrees by mid-afternoon and then the highs should approach 90 on Friday and Saturday as well. A strong cool front will approach from the west later Sunday and Monday increasing our chances for showers and thunderstorms to close out the weekend and to start the new week. Elsewhere, there is now a tropical depression in the Atlantic and it should continue on a general westward track over the next several days right into the Caribbean Sea. Ultimately, this tropical system could spill over into the Gulf of Mexico, but that would be many days away from now.
