7:00 AM | A few showers/storms today and tomorrow, and then more drenching showers and storms late Saturday

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly cloudy this morning with a few showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two mixed in, the rain could come down hard briefly, becoming partly sunny this afternoon, warm, highs in the mid-to-upper 80's

Mostly cloudy with the slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm, muggy, lows in the upper 60’s

Partly sunny, very warm, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, highs near 90

Friday Night

Mostly cloudy, possible shower or thunderstorm, muggy, lows in the upper 60’s

Mostly cloudy not quite as warm, showers and thunderstorms possible late in the day and at night, some of the rain can be heavy, low-to-mid 80’s

Partly sunny, cooler, still the chance for a shower or thunderstorm, upper 70’s

Mostly sunny, cool, mid-to-upper 70’s

Mainly sunny, pleasant, mid 70’s

A weak cool front crossed the region late yesterday and weak high pressure will now build into the Mid-Atlantic as the front stalls southeast of here. While chances for rain will be reduced for today and tomorrow and much of the time will be rain-free, a couple of showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out on either day. By the weekend, another front with an associated low pressure area will head our way from the Midwest and this will bring back a high chance for showers and thunderstorms late Saturday into Saturday night and some of the rain is likely to be heavy at times. Much cooler weather moves in on Sunday and Monday with highs confined to the 70's.
