Discussion

An upper level high pressure ridge continues across the region and the overall flow in the upper atmosphere will be generally from west-to-east. This pattern will keep the region dry with no precipitation in sight and temperatures will be quite mild as Arctic air will be unable to penetrate this far south as it will be blocked by the nearly zonal flow over the next several days. Looking ahead to Turkey Day, from this vantage point it looks quite favorable with partial sunshine and afternoon temperatures generally in the 50's. One final note - the annual Leonid meteor shower will peak in the pre-dawn hours (2-6am) with favorable viewing conditions expected.
