7:00 AM | Strong winds continue as colder air flows into the region; snow showers tonight/early Friday can bring a small accumulation

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Very windy with gusts to 50 mph and mostly sunny skies, much colder than yesterday with temperatures holding pretty steady this morning in the mid 40's and then slowly dropping this afternoon

Becoming mostly cloudy, a snow shower possible early and then snow showers likely late, cold, still windy, lows in the upper 20’s

Snow showers early with small accumulations likely; otherwise, partly sunny skies, windy and cold, mid 30’s

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, breezy, very cold, low 20’s

Partly sunny, cold, upper 30’s; snow showers possible late at night

Snow showers possible; otherwise, mostly cloudy, cold, near 40

Partly sunny, chilly, low-to-mid 40’s

Mostly cloudy, chilly, mid 40’s

A strong cold front passed through the region in the overnight hours and it is now pushing off the east coast. Colder air will pour into the region today with temperatures holding steady this morning in the mid 40's and then dropping slowly later this afternoon. A couple of disturbances can throw snow showers our way over the next few days with the first occurring late tonight and early Friday. Another system will affect the region late Saturday night and Sunday with snow showers or steadier light snow. In both cases, while the moisture will be limited, it will be cold enough for snow and small accumulations are possible.
