Discussion

High pressure builds into the Northeast US today, but it will not control our weather for very long. A blizzard will rage today across the southern Plains and it'll then head northeast towards the Great Lakes by tomorrow. At the same time, another low will form near the east coast and that system will spread rain into our region late tomorrow and it'll continue heavy at times tomorrow night. This coastal low pressure system will then head northeast towards New England by mid-week causing another snowstorm for northern New England. It’ll turn slightly colder around here behind the system for the late week time period.
