Weather forecasting and analysis, space and historic events, climate information

7:00 AM | Milder this weekend with a rain threat by later Easter Sunday; strong cold front comes through early next week

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

A mix of clouds and sun, breezy and chilly, chance for a couple of afternoon showers, highs near 50 degrees

Mostly cloudy, cold, lows in the low 30’s

Partly sunny, still chilly, chance for an afternoon shower, near 50

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, cold, near freezing

Partly sunny, a bit milder, low-to-mid 50’s

Increasing clouds, mild, rain develops during the afternoon and continues into the night, mid-to-upper 50’s

Mostly cloudy, mild, showers possible, mid 50’s

Colder, mostly cloudy, breezy, chance for showers, mid-to-upper 40’s

High pressure will build into the region over the next couple of days and a warming trend will finally boost temperatures to near seasonal levels over the weekend. Clouds will increase on Sunday, however, and showers are likely to develop Sunday afternoon as a cold front moves towards the East. Colder air will return by Tuesday behind this next cold frontal system as the below normal temperature pattern continues for awhile longer.
