Discussion

Opening Day for both the Yankees and Mets and the weather will be pretty mild for their afternoon season openers although a couple of afternoon showers cannot be ruled out and the wind will pick up. A secondary cold front will pass through the region by tonight and it will usher in the return of below-normal air for much of the week. It’ll stay dry into the late week time period and then we’ll have to watch a system headed for the coast at week’s end and it could throw some rain into the region on Friday. Looking ahead, while much of this week looks chilly, there are signs for warmer conditions next week in the Mid-Atlantic.
