7:00 AM | Turns milder for Halloween Day as southwest winds take over post-warm frontal passage

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Considerable cloudiness and still on the cool side, highs not far from 60 degrees

Mostly cloudy, not as chilly as recent nights, low 50’s

Considerable cloudiness, quite breezy and warmer, maybe a shower or two during the afternoon hours, but mainly rain-free, mid-to-upper 60’s

Thursday Night

Mostly cloudy, mild, showers likely; especially, after midnight, near 60

Mostly cloudy skies with showers likely, breezy, still mild, upper 60’s

Partly sunny, cooler, chance for a shower, low-to-mid 60’s

Mostly sunny, breezy, colder, mid-to-upper 50’s

Mostly sunny, still cold, mid 50’s

Today will be another day on the cool side, but then a warm front will lift through our region from the south on Thursday and temperatures on Halloween Day will respond by climbing well up into the 60’s along with a stiff breeze out of the southwest. While a shower or two can fall tomorrow afternoon and early evening, more numerous showers from the next cool frontal system should hold off until late tomorrow night and early Friday. It’ll turn slightly cooler on Saturday behind that next cool front, but then a secondary cool front will usher in even colder air for Sunday and Monday. That chilly air mass for Sunday and Monday will lift out of here rather quickly by the middle of next week.
