The big news this week will be the tremendous Arctic blast that will affect much of the country as it treks slowly eastward. The Pacific Northwest will be the first region to feel its effects, but the southern Rockies will experience plunging temperatures by later tomorrow and snow is likely to accompany this next cold blast. Temperatures by Wednesday morning will likely be in the single digits and highs will struggle to climb above 10 degrees during the second half of the week.
