Discussion

High pressure will move overhead today and we’ll have a nice day to close out the work week. The weekend will become more active as a warm front pushes through by early tomorrow and then a cold front follows on its heels by later Sunday. The result will possibly be another round of showers for the DC metro region later tomorrow and early tomorrow night and thunderstorms could also mix into the picture. It is possible that some of the thunderstorms reach strong-to-severe levels; especially, across northern and northeast sections of Maryland. It’ll turn much hotter and more humid on Saturday - perhaps touching 95 degrees in spots - following the passage of the warm front and temperatures should also reach the 90 degree mark on Sunday as well.
