Discussion

High pressure will push away from the area today and a “clipper” low pressure system will head this way from the Great Lakes. This “clipper” system is likely to initially generate some occasional rain in the area from later tonight into Saturday although snow can be mixed in at times in some areas. Then, as the system intensifies off the Mid-Atlantic coastline late tomorrow night, there can be some snow shower activity as colder air gets pulled in from the north. High pressure will return for the early part of next week.
