7:00 AM | Another Arctic blast arrives in the overnight hours

Paul Dorian

6-Day DC Forecast

Mostly cloudy skies this morning and then some brightening this afternoon and becoming much milder, highs in the low 60's

Mainly cloudy, becoming breezy and turning colder late, lows near 35 degrees by daybreak

Partly sunny, windy and quite cold, low 40’s

Wednesday Night

Mainly clear, breezy and very cold, low 20’s

Mainly sunny, light winds only, still quite cold, mid 40’s

Partly sunny, breezy, milder, maybe a shower or two, mid 50’s

Mainlt cloudy, breezy, warm, low 70's

Mainly cloudy, cooler, chance for rain, near 60 degrees

After a milder day today, a strong cold front will drop through the region from the north in the overnight hours and usher in another Arctic blast for the Mid-Atlantic region. As a result, temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will again be way below normal for this time of year. High pressure will then push off the coast late in the week and we’ll rebound in temperatures on Friday, actually reach warm levels on Saturday, but then we’ll likely cool down again on Sunday as we likely close out the weekend with some rain.
