Discussion

Low pressure is now weakening and pulling away from the Mid-Atlantic coastline and it’ll begin to turn noticeably milder this afternoon in the DC-to-Philly-to-NYC corridor although skies may stay mostly cloudy. A significant surge of warm air will then boost temperatures to well above normal levels in the Mid-Atlantic region on Thursday and it looks like it’ll stay very warm here right into the upcoming weekend. A weakening frontal system could spark a few scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow night and early Friday and a couple of showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out for either weekend day.
