6-Day NYC Forecast

Heavy rain throughout the morning hours with isolated thunderstorms possible, intermittent showers this afternoon, perhaps a residual thunderstorms, breezy, cool, temperatures holding relatively steady

Mainly cloudy, breezy, cold, chance of a few showers, possibly even mixed with flakes at times late, lows in the upper 30’s

Partly sunny, breezy, cold, maybe an afternoon shower or two, near 50 degrees for highs

Tuesday Night

Partly cloudy, breezy, cold, mid 30’s for overnight lows

Mainly sunny, milder, near 60 degrees

Partly sunny, cool, chance of showers, mid-to-upper 50’s

Partly sunny, colder, low-to-mid 50’s

Partly sunny, cool, upper 50’s

A strong west-to-east moving cold frontal system is slowly working its way through the area this morning and the heavy, steady rain will continue through the morning and then evolve into a pattern of intermittent showers this afternoon, maybe a residual thunderstorm. Much colder air will push into the region tonight and temperatures on Tuesday will be way below-normal for mid-April and struggle to pass the 50 degree mark for highs. We’ll turn milder again at mid-week only to turn cooler again following the passage of another cool front by Thursday.
