Discussion

There is the potential for significant rainfall later this week as the remains of Tropical Storm Alberto interact with other slow-moving systems in the eastern US. High pressure will try to control our weather through much of Wednesday, but once it shifts off the Northeast US coastline, the flood gates will be opened for tropical moisture to push northeastward from the southern states. The heaviest rain threat likely comes in the Thursday to Friday night time period.
