Discussion

High pressure ridging will build in for the rest of the week and our flow will become more southwesterly resulting in some hot weather around here and high temperatures in the lower 90’s for the next couple of days. There will be enough low-level instability and moisture around to allow for the formation of scattered showers and thunderstorms for the next few days. The nearby part of the tropical Atlantic is still relatively quiet, but we’ll closely monitor activity as the climatological peak of the season fast approaches.
