Discussion

A persistent area of high pressure over the Bahamas will continue to result in warm weather across Florida with highs at or above 80 degrees today and this weekend. A weak front has stalled in the area and has enhanced chances for scattered showers and this threat will continue through the weekend. The high pressure ridging in the upper part of the atmosphere will weaken some later this weekend and will allow for a frontal passage resulting in cooler conditions for the early part of next week.
