6-Day forecast for the NYC metro region

Mainly sunny, brisk, cold, highs in the mid-to-upper 40’s

Mainly clear, quite cold, lows in the mid 20’s

Mainly sunny, still on the cold side, upper 40’s for afternoon highs

Wednesday Night

Mainly clear, cold, lower 30's for overnight lows

Mainly sunny, becoming breezy and milder, mid-to-upper 50’s

Partly sunny, even warmer, mid 60’s

Partly sunny, warm, near 70 degrees

Mainly cloudy, breezy, mild, chance of showers, lower 60's

A chilly air mass for this time of year has moved into the Mid-Atlantic region following the passage of a cold frontal system. Temperatures will remain below-normal for the next couple of days despite plenty of sunshine all along the I-95 corridor. On Thursday, high pressure will edge off the coast and it’ll turn breezy and milder – just in time for the Yankees home opener. Even warmer weather will take place on Friday and Saturday, but showers are a threat for Sunday as the next cold front approaches.
