Discussion

An upper-level low will intensify over the next 24-48 hours as it slides across the southeastern states and it this will help to spawn a strong surface low pressure system near the Southeast US coastline. As the upper-level trough pushes across the Southeast US, our chances for showers will increase today and Tuesday and there can be a few scattered thunderstorms mixed in as well. Later in the week, a drying trend will take place as high pressure follows the departing coastal storm and into the southeastern states.
