6-Day forecast for the NYC metro region

Mainly cloudy, cool, highs in the mid 50’s

Mainly cloudy, chilly, some patchy fog and drizzle possible at times, lows in the mid 40’s

Mainly cloudy, becoming windy and milder, chance of late day showers, mid 60’s for afternoon highs

Friday Night

Occasional showers and a possible thunderstorm, windy, mild, upper 50’s for overnight lows

Mainly cloudy, warm, cannot rule out a few showers, lower 70’s

Mainly cloudy, mild, periods of rain likely; especially, during the PM hours, maybe a thunderstorm, near 70 degrees; some heavy rain is possible at night

Mainly cloudy with AM rain likely and some of it can be heavy at times, becoming windy, mild, near 70 degrees

Mainly sunny, breezy, cooler, near 60 degrees

High pressure will push off the east coast later today, but it should remain close enough for another rain-free day in the Mid-Atlantic region. Low pressure will move through the Great Lakes region on Friday and generate a round of showers here on Friday night along with the chance for scattered thunderstorms. The weekend is not looking too good as clouds will dominate on Saturday and lingering shower activity is possible. Another system will bring more rain here later Sunday into Monday and some of it can be heavy at times late Sunday night/early Monday.
