6-Day forecast for the Philadelphia metro region

Becoming mainly cloudy, a few showers are likely this afternoon; especially, to the north and northeast of Philly (e.g., Bucks County), breezy, cooler than yesterday, highs in the mid-to-upepr 60's

Mainly cloudy early with a shower possible then becoming partly cloudy, cool, lows near 50 degrees

Mainly sunny, warmer, upper 70’s for afternoon highs

Tuesday Night

Mainly cloudy, mild, chance of showers and thunderstorms, mid-to-upper 50’s for overnight lows

Mainly sunny, nice, near 70 degrees

Mainly sunny early, clouds late, still pleasant, near 70 degrees

Mainly cloudy, warm, chance of showers and thunderstorms, lower 70’s

Partly sunny, a bit cooler, mid-to-upper 60’s

The slow-moving upper-level low pressure system that trekked across the country last week is just now exiting off the Mid-Atlantic coastline and it will be close enough today to impact the region with plenty of clouds and perhaps a few afternoon showers. High pressure takes over for Tuesday, but then a cold front can bring some shower activity here tomorrow night - perhaps even a thunderstorm. After nice weather at mid-week, the combination of northern and southern stream systems could result in some rain here from Thursday night into Friday.
