Paul Dorian

6-Day forecast for the DC metro region

Becoming windy today with mainly sunny skies, gusts to 30 mph possible, milder than yesterday, highs in the mid 60’s

Mainly clear early, some clouds late, breezy in the evening, cold, lows near 40 degrees

Mainly cloudy, mild, low-to-mid 60’s for afternoon highs

Thursday Night

Mainly cloudy, chilly, chance for rain showers, mid 40’s for overnight lows

Cloudy, mild, rain is likely, mid-to-upper 50’s

An early shower possible; otherwise, partly sunny, mild, near 70 degrees

Partly sunny, mild, a late shower possible, lower 70's

Mainly cloudy, mild, chance of showers, lower 70's

Strong low pressure over the western Atlantic will push to the northeast today and our winds will pick up in intensity with gusts to 30 mph possible during the mid-day and afternoon hours. With the return of the sunshine, temperatures should climb to 65 degrees this afternoon, but the wind will make it feel somewhat cooler. Another low pressure system will impact the region with showers on Thursday night and rain on Friday/Friday night. The late week storm system is likely to get out of here in time for us to squeeze out a pretty decent weekend before another system threatens us with rain by Sunday night or Monday.
