7:00 AM | *Another comfortable day with high pressure in control...possible strong storms late Thursday*

Paul Dorian

6-Day forecast for the DC metro region

Becoming mainly sunny, still quite comfortable, highs in the mid 70’s

Becoming mainly cloudy, mild, chance of a couple of late night showers, maybe a thunderstorm, lows near 60 degrees

Partly sunny, much warmer, more humid, chance of showers and thunderstorms, some of the storms can be strong-to-severe late in the day, near 85 degrees for afternoon highs

Thursday Night

Evening showers and thunderstorms possible and some of the storms can be strong-to-severe; otherwise, mainly cloudy, mild, upper 60’s for overnight lows

Mainly sunny, less humid, warm, low-to-mid 80’s

Mainly sunny, warm, low-to-mid 80's

Mainly sunny, warm, mid-to-upper 80’s

Partly sunny, warm, chance for showers, mid 80’s

High pressure to our north will keep control of our weather for another day with sunshine and pleasant conditions, but a warm front will arrive in the late night hours. As a result, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase after midnight and Thursday promises to be a warmer and more humid day with a continued chance for rain and some of the thunderstorms late in the day or tomorrow night can be on the strong-to-severe side. A cold front will then arrive early Friday and high pressure will build in as we close out the work week.
