Discussion

Our extended stretch of warm and rain-free weather will come to an end today as some decent rainfall is approaching the area ahead of a slow-moving cool front. The steadiest rain is likely from later this afternoon into Thursday and some of it can be heavy at times. High pressure will follow the cool frontal passage and it’ll anchor a cooler air mass for the late week; especially, when compared to our recent abnormally warm weather. After a cool and dry start to the weekend, another low pressure system to our southwest could impact the area with more rainfall by Sunday.
