Clouds will be prevalent today and tonight as a cold front slowly presses our way from the Great Lakes region and there will be a chance of showers, maybe even a strong-to-severe thunderstorm or two. Temperatures will again climb to above-normal levels, but it won’t be quite as unseasonably warm as it was on Wednesday afternoon when temperatures peaked way up in the middle 80’s. The front will slide through early tomorrow and it’ll usher in a cooler air mass for tomorrow night and Saturday, but the bigger story will be the winds. Gusts of 50+ mph are likely on Friday and Friday night as the pressure gradient intensifies between the departing low pressure system and an approaching strong high pressure.
