Discussion
High pressure will have a pretty good handle on our weather into the weekend, but then it shifts off the coast and pumps in more humid air to the Mid-Atlantic. At the same time, low pressure will head eastward from the Ohio Valley and this combination will cause unsettled weather here Saturday through Monday. The threat exists for some shower and thunderstorm activity on both weekend days and on Labor Day (Monday) as well. In fact, some of the rain can come down hard Sunday night or Monday as a cool front approaches from the west. This front will usher in cooler air for the middle part of next week with high temperatures likely confined to the 70's.
