Discussion

The monsoonal pattern continues for another day, but then there will be a transition to an overall drier pattern for a couple of days and, as a result, temperatures will head back well up in the 90’s by Friday. The cause of the drier weather pattern will be a shift westward of the Great Plains high pressure ridge which will, in turn, act to partially cutoff the moisture-laden sub-tropical air from reaching the Colorado Rockies region. It'll turn somewhat cooler on Saturday following the passage of an upper level trough.
