7:00 AM | A couple of showers for today and tomorrow and maybe a thunderstorm; drenching showers and storms late Saturday

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly cloudy this morning with a couple of showers and maybe a thunderstorm, partly sunny this afternoon, warm, but a little less humid than yesterday, low-to-mid 80’s

Mostly cloudy with the chance for a shower or thunderstorm, becoming muggy, lows in the mid-to-upper 60’s

Partly sunny, warm, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, mid-to-upper 80’s

Friday Night

Mostly cloudy, possible shower or thunderstorm, muggy, lows in the mid 60’s

Mostly cloudy, not quite as warm, showers and thunderstorms possible later in the day and at night, some of the rain will be heavy, low 80’s

Mostly cloudy, cooler, still the chance for a shower or two, mid-to-upper 70’s

Mostly sunny, cool, mid 70’s

Mainly sunny, still cool, low-to-mid 70’s

A weak cool front crossed the region late yesterday and weak high pressure will now build into the Mid-Atlantic as the front stalls southeast of here. While chances for rain will be reduced for today and tomorrow and much of the time will be rain-free, a couple of showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out on either day. By the weekend, another front with an associated low pressure area will head our way from the Midwest and this will bring back a high chance for showers and thunderstorms late Saturday into Saturday night and some of the rain is likely to be heavy at times. Much cooler weather moves in on Sunday and Monday with highs confined to the 70's.
