Discussion

Strong high pressure ridging in the upper atmosphere has gradually shifted towards the west coast over the past 48 hours and this has developed an increasing northerly flow over Colorado. The result is a downward trend in temperatures and an increasing influx of moisture from the southern part of the country. Temperatures will be much more seasonal for the next few days, but could flirt with the 90 degree mark again by the end of the week.
