The new week will start off with an elevated chance of showers and thunderstorms due to a combination of moist low-level air out of the southeast and an upper-level low pushing eastward along the Gulf states. By mid-week, this upper-level feature will slide east of here and the rain chances will diminish. Temperatures over the next several days are likely to come close to the 80 degree mark for daily highs.
