A warming trend begins today, but its end is already in sight as a powerful cold front will sweep through the region on Sunday. High temperatures today should reach the 70 degree mark and then climb well into the 70’s on Friday and during the upcoming weekend. A strong cold frontal passage on Sunday will increase chances for showers – perhaps even a couple of thunderstorms – and much cooler air will pour in by the first of next week.
