Discussion

A powerful cold front is racing towards the east coast and it will bring rain to the region towards morning and right in to the mid-day hours on Saturday. This frontal system has lots of upper-level support thus can produce brief heavy downpours along with some gusty winds. Slow clearing will take place tomorrow night and some of the chilliest air seen all fall will push into the region keeping temperatures on Sunday afternoon held to near 60 degrees for highs – well below normal for this time of year. Temperatures will rebound nicely on Monday; however, and actually return to mild levels on Tuesday just ahead of the next cold front.
