Discussion

"Windy" will become the main weather word to use over the next couple of days. A cold frontal system will approach the region today and it will generate showers for the DC metro region primarily during the morning hours - maybe even an isolated thunderstorm. It’ll turn windy and much cooler on Friday, but then a secondary cold front will usher in even colder air for Saturday. In fact, Saturday should turn out to be a windy and downright cold day despite some sunshine with temperatures well below normal for this time of year. It’ll stay quite cool on Sunday, but calmer conditions are expected to close out the weekend and then milder weather returns early next week.
