Discussion

Ingredients are coming together for a storm to hit the Mid-Atlantic region from later today into Saturday, but the worst impact will be to our south. Rain is likely to overspread the area overnight and continue into tomorrow morning and there can be a thunderstorm mixed into the picture. The heaviest rain associated with this system is likely to fall across southern PA, southern New Jersey and southward to the DC metro region. Temperatures will remain fairly warm today with highs at or above the 80 degree mark, but stiff NE winds on Saturday – typical of a nor’easter - could confine temperatures to the lower 70's in the NYC metro region to go along with the continuing rainfall. Much improvement will take place on Sunday, but it'll remain on the cool side of normal.
