7:00 AM | Could be a couple of showers and thunderstorms for today and tomorrow; another frontal system will bring back the threat for drenching showers and storms this weekend

Paul Dorian

6-Day Forecast

Mostly cloudy this morning with a couple of showers possible and maybe a thunderstorm, partly sunny this afternoon, very warm, mid-to-upper 80’s

Mostly cloudy with the slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm, muggy, lows in the low-to-mid 70’s

Partly sunny, very warm, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, upper 80’s

Friday Night

Mostly cloudy, possible shower or thunderstorm, muggy, lows in the low 70’s

Partly sunny, not quite as warm, showers and thunderstorms possible later in the day or at night, some of the rain can get heavy, highs near 80

Mostly cloudy, even cooler, still the chance for a shower or thunderstorm, upper 70’s

Mostly sunny, cool, mid-to-upper 70’s

Mainly sunny, pleasant, mid-to-upper 70’s

A weak cool front crossed the region late yesterday and weak high pressure will now build into the Mid-Atlantic as the front stalls southeast of here. While chances for rain will be reduced for today and tomorrow and much of the time will be rain-free, a couple of showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out on either day. By the weekend, another front with an associated low pressure area will head our way from the Midwest and this will bring back a high chance for showers and thunderstorms late Saturday into Saturday night and some of the rain is likely to be heavy at times. Much cooler weather moves in on Sunday and Monday with highs confined to the 70's.
