Discussion

High pressure will shift off the coast today and low pressure will form on the southern Plains and then move northeast to just off the Mid-Atlantic coast by later tomorrow. It’ll be cold enough for mix of rain and snow around here beginning in the early morning hours. The mix should change to snow during the day and continue into the early evening hours with accumulations on the order of a trace to an inch or two. After the snow winds down early tomorrow night high pressure will return for the second half of the week, but it'll remain quite cold. Milder weather is likely by early next week.
