Discussion

Arctic air flooded the Mid-Atlantic region late yesterday and today will be one of the coldest days of the year so far. Despite sunshine, temperatures will have a hard time climbing through the teens and the breeze will remain a noticeable factor through at least the mid-day hours. The winds do die down by early tonight and then temperatures should drop back to the single digits as clouds increase. On Friday, a quick hitting low pressure system could throw a bit of snow into parts of the Mid-Atlantic region, but it is likely to stay south of here. It’ll remain chilly on Saturday, but milder air will push in early next week and the break in the cold could last through next Thursday.
